Today was an...interesting day. Fall was creeping oh so slowly into Britain, but it was getting there. The trees were on their deathbed, dying slowly and letting a little bit of life out every day. The only thing that mattered to Roxy were the clean slates she got every year. A new look, a new year, and a new Roxy made her feel like she was absolutely on top of the world. With her new thoughts and feeling, she thought this year would be perfect, like she had hoped. And so far, it was. She was content with the teachers and the classes she had to take. All of it was hard to take in, but it didn't hurt to. Roxy's heels clicked against the stone bridge, breaking the silence of the night. She had a bright purple notebook in her hand and chewed on her pen. She had so much work to do for her next song she was overwhelmed, so the lyrics didn't come to her right away like the usually did. She was pacing back and forth, thinking intensly and deeply. When Roxy was thinking as hard as she was, she would be oblivious to her surrounding. She was completely alone out there because it was right after dinner and everyone usually went back to their rooms. She was probably the only insane person that would stay out there, freezing her ass off. It was the beginning of the year, and that always meant new beginnings, and new songs, and cold, dreary weather. This was one of the many random places she picked to start writing, but she didn't feel very inspired. Usually, she would write her songs wherever she went because she always had muse. But not today. Roxy plopped down to the ground and set her head on her hand. She glanced over at her guitar, tempted to play, but she hated it when people heard writing a new song. Not only were they rough, but they were very...angst-y. The last thing she wanted people to think was that she was a whiny teenager. So, she would ask her older friends for advice after she wrote the songs, and they would tell her their opinion and maybe make some changes. She got to her feet quickly as a few red leaves danced across the bridge's floor. Her fingers lightly picked at the strings and strummed every so often. Her hair flowed down her face and her face lit up at the sound of each chord. Her fingers moved up and down the neck and pressed on the strings delicately. The best thing in the world to her was the sound of a guitar. She hummed the tune she had been working on and continued until she heard footsteps. "Hello?" -------------------------NOTES?!Yaaay! Alfred Alexander Chase, commonly known as Alfie amongst his peers, (Alfred to his mother, but if he ever catches any other person calling him that he’ll hex them into next year.) was a young man of leisure. He enjoyed days where he could relax, lazing about with the intentions of doing absolutely nothing for the entire day. Today was one of those days. He’d done nothing but lay on a couch in the Slytherin commons, chatting with a few of the lads. Starting his homework and then throwing it to the side two minutes later in favour of flirting with Charlotte, a giggly fifth year who was head over heels with him. Flattering but not someone Alfie was particularly interested in. Especially since she was an awful kisser. Really fucking awful. Alfie was sure kissing a frog would be much more pleasurable. Not that it was her fault she slobbered like a dog when giving tongue. Back to the point, Alfie had done absolutely nothing all day. The only time he’d left the common room was for the feast and then instead of heading back to the Slytherin commons with his peers, he’d decided to go for a jog. Yeah running after eating wasn’t always the best option, but he hadn’t had much to eat anyway.
After Alfie had changed his Wizarding robes for black jogging sweats and a matching black hooded jumper, he made his way outside into the cool night. The air was quite chilly tonight. Not that Alfie cared, he was going to heat up anyway, once he got jogging. Mentally mapping his jog around the school grounds, Alfie set off at a slow pace. He spotted a few students here and there as he made his way through the courtyard and across the lawns. He nodded hello’s to any of the males he knew and offered winks to every female he came across, whether he knew them or not. He grinned and laughed when he received glares and rude gestures from any of his old flames and carried on with his jog.
The Slytherin had been running for a good forty-five minutes before his jog took him up to the Stone Bridge. He was well into his running now, his pace had quickened considerably and he was starting to work up a bit of a sweat, which was good because it meant that he was getting a decent work out. The blonde kicked up his pace another notch once he was on the bridge. He raced along the old stones, pumping his legs as hard as he could. It wasn’t until he was a few feet away that he spotted someone familiar blocking his path. “Woah -- shit!” Alfie quickly stumbled to a halt, nearly losing his balance in the process. When he regained his balance he immediately doubled over and rested his hands on his thighs, it was a over half a minute, after he had taken some deep and heavy breaths, that he looked up from his position to see who he had almost bowled over.
“Roxy? Shit, I almost knocked you over.” He glared at her, half annoyed that she had been stood there in the middle of the bridge. Sure he should have been paying attention to where he was going instead of looking out over the bridge but Alfie never had been one to put the blame on himself. “What are you doing out here?”

Roxy was totally oblivious to her surroundings, being the dumbass she occasionally was, she plopped in the middle of the bridge. Well, she had though that no one would come running through there because no one ever did since it was so boring. She was so into the sound of the music and chords harmonizing, she was in her own little world. She felt like nothing could stop her there, she was invincible. That was the one and only place she actually felt like she belonged. The sad part of it was that she was the only person living there, and no one would ever be with her. She sort of wished it was like that sometimes, but she couldnt just give up her friends and family! That is something that is just out of the question. She glanced up at Alfie, with his bleach blonde hair sweaty and swept in his face. The funny part about him was the way she remembered him. Every time someone said his name, Roxy would always think of that first year boy with the goofy smile and the mophead. It was the same little boy she grew to be very close with. The problem was, she felt like he was growing up and she was left with all the memories. There wasnt really a time where they talked about what it used to be like when they were kids. Now, all the had conversations about were his makeout sessions and one-night-stands. She really loved helping him out with his problems, because it just made them closer. She had to admit, he was quite a catch. In fact, her fourth year, she had a little crush on him. But, as the years faded, so did her feelings for him. She just figured it was for the best, considering he had really needed was a good friend to keep her sane. Yes, every now and then when she saw him in the hall, her heart may skip a beat, but it wasnt really anything major. Alfie looked down at her, kind of pissed off looking. Whoops. Well, on the bright side, he didnt fall flat on his face? If that happened, well, who knows what would go on. Roxy stared up at him and bit her lip, embarassed. She felt pretty stupid standing in the middle of the bridge, but she wasnt really expecting anyone. "Oh, uh, sorry Alfie. I'm just playing guitar like always after dinner. You know me, always writing songs. So how's the new year?" Her voice was shaky, hoping he wouldnt yell at her. She had a feeling he would, which would be just fucking lovely. But she changed the subject, so maybe things wouldnt get too bumpy. -------------------------NOTES?!Lalala... WORD COUNT?!529, yo! TAG?!You're it!!! OUTFIT?!Thislovelything(:
