Twenty three years have passed since the fall of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Minerva McGonagall was reinstated as headmistress of Hogwarts and rebuilt the school with help from the professors, students and villagers. It was only a matter of months before the school was up and running again. It remained undisturbed for three years until she passed away. Her last will and testament left instructions for her position to be filled by newly-married Hermione Malfoy. The young witch did so and became one of the best headteachers the school had ever seen.
The school functioned excellently under her guidance. Results began to improve across all years and houses and additional schemes were put in place to make the students as safe and comfortable as was possible. For nineteen years, Hermione sat at the helm of one of the best schools for magic in Europe. This and her strong influences on the rest of the wizarding community made her a target. The Nex Domino needed to remove her as an obstacle to achieve their aims and were successful in her abduction. Almost everyone in wizarding Britain was shaken by her disappearance. It meant things weren't going as well as they had appeared to be.
She was forced to write a letter by her captors as an official resignation and request for Jonathan Styx, a member of the Nex Domino, to take over the school. The staff and students alike were reluctant to accept a new headteacher but they had no choice but to do so. Some students, namely those such as the Potters and Weasleys who had grown up knowing her, decided that the circumstances under which Styx had come into power didn't make sense, leading to the formation of Malfoy's Army. As a result, those who felt the new headmaster was doing a better job rose up to defend his name, calling themselves the Stygian Votaries. Those that remained neutral have two choices; pick a side or get caught in the crossfire.
It is now 2021. The time has come for people to decide where their loyalties lie and make the choice as to whether or not they will fight for their beliefs and those they hold dear. Families and friendships will be torn apart by the ensuing chaos with unexpected alliances being formed between those that would once have never even acknowledged each other. Will the right choices be made? Only one thing is for sure - Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has changed and it doesn't seem to have been for the better.
