ChiChi couldn't stand this class. She had asked many times this class period to be excused. Was this professor ignorant, or just ill-informed? It was well known to every professor in this school that when Chita Rodriguez said that she needed to be excused, you let her go. Damn present day ignorance. Chita hated being in school now. Back in the eighteen-hundreds, the professors were more strict, but they knew when to listen to directions given. And do not even get ChiChi started on the ignorance of the students. They were all so ill-behaved. If ChiChi would have acted like this when she had first come to school, she would have gotten smacked. But no, you can not do that in the present day schools. It was considered "child abuse" or something.
ChiChi raised her hand again, and the professor shook his head at her. Was he crazy?! ChiChi needed to get out of this class room. He must have a death wish for him and all of the students in this room. Oh, if they only knew what she could do to them when provoked. ChiChi sighed and looked out the window at the Forbidden Forest. There was something about that forest that was different from all of the other forests that ChiChi had seen in her years. It.. pulsed. Not noticeable to the normal human eye, but to any trained vampire's vision, you could clearly see a slight movement in the forest. Almost as if it were breathing. It was truly odd. And Chita had been dying to get out there for the past couple of days. She didn't notice the pulsing until about two weeks ago. But there was something about that forest. Something about that forest. Something, about.. ChiChi shook her head. She could sit here for hours and lose track of time being mesmerized by the forest. It was almost as if--
Finally. The bell rung, and ChiChi was up and out of her seat faster than any normal human. She had to remind herself to slow down. She calmly walked up to the Professor's desk, placing whatever unfinished work she had not done on his desk, and held his gaze for a couple of seconds. "Next time, I suggest that you allow me to leave when I request it." she said, then walked out of the room. She stood there in the hall for the next couple of seconds, calculating the quickest route to the forest. She could go up the main staircase and go that way, or she could take a secret passageway. They had all been disclosed to her in the beginning of the year, in case she needed to get somewhere quick and out of sight. There were too many people on the stairs, and, even at her fastest, there was still the chance of being seen. However, as she looked around now, there was not a soul in the hall with her. She decided upon that, and in a flash, she took off up the staircase to the main floor, then out the door.
Over the grounds she ran, sensing her way as she ran so she wouldn't trip over a rock or clump of mud. In milliseconds, she was at the edge of the forest. She looked at the trees, and noticed that up close, there was no pulsation. That was curious. Was it just her eyes playing tricks on her? No, her eyes hadn't played tricks on her since eighteen ninety-three. Perhaps it was a trap. Since she had become a vampire, ChiChi hadn't been caught in any traps. She liked to believe that it was just because she was too good to get caught in traps. And, even though this could be a trap, ChiChi was still drawn in to the forest. Besides, there wasn't much that could hurt ChiChi; she had been a vampire for far too long to not be able to fight off virtually anything that threw itself her way. Well, unless it was an older vampire. And there were definitely some of those here at Hogwarts. ChiChi could feel them in the halls when she walked past them. But why would anybody want to hurt ChiChi?
She was the new girl. She didn't have any true enemies yet. So, she concluded that she would be completely and totally safe wondering aimlessly purposefully into the Forbidden Forest.
As soon as she got into the forest, she could feel something was off; something was different. The sunlight from outside seemed to fade and the branches seemed to close behind her. She turned around and noticed that, contrary to what she was feeling, the branches were exactly the same. She turned around and continued walking further into the forest. All of the animals were quiet, which was out of the ordinary. She figured that another vampire must have just been hunting recently. See? Common sense thinking could explain everything. However, something was off. Chita turned around to go back from where she came from, only to realize that she wasn't in familiar territory. She was walking in zigzags without realizing it? Highly unlikely. Chita started walking faster, trying to collect her bearings. What did she know? She was in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts. Something is in here with her. A vampire? Highly unlikely that any vampire could mess with her mind like this. So what?
Something snapped behind her, and Chita took off running. It wasn't often that she was easily startled, but whatever it was just startled her. She had not been seriously scared since twenty years after she was turned, and now she was scared. Using her senses, she jumped over branches, avoided rocks, went around trees. Something was chasing her, and she didn't dare turn around to see what. All of a sudden, her face was in the dirt. She had tripped over.. something. Over what? She sat up quickly, seeing a root on the ground, protruding up from the dirt slightly; enough to trip her. But that wasn't possible. She would have sensed it and been able to step over it. She then remembered that something was chasing her, and as quickly as she had sat up, she hit the dirt, covering her head. The only thing that went over her was a strong gust of wind. And now there was something rustling in the bushed next to her. Jesus Christ.
Chita scooted backward on her ass until she hit a tree that, mind you, was not there two seconds ago. "H-hello?" she asked. There was someone in that bush. She could feel it.

The sun dimly shined under under the heavy storm clouds that loomed over the school grounds. Jeremy could have sworn he heard voices speaking under their breath, but no one accompanied him. It was so strange, because he kept having this nightmare pretty much every night for the past couple of months. He had thought of it to be pretty disturbing, and that coming from a vampire, you know it has to be fucked up. He had always started in the forest, where it was dead silent...kind of like it was that day. He had dark plans of murder in his mind, sick, twisted plans. He had pure hatred for who it was, and it was the most difficult thing to restrain himself from killing them whenever he saw them. That part confused him because he had never really hated someone so much that he would kill them. The only person he hated was Chita, but he doubted he commit homicide. Next, he would somehow get their attention. He forgot exactly what he did to get them there, but he manipulated with their minds and needs, which made them want to meet him. Then, there was a vague scene of him just basically tearing them apart.
Jeremy shivered at the thought of his vision. He hung over a tree limb high above the ground, just waiting for something to cross below him. He was waiting for an animal to idly walk by, and then he would pounce. Hell, he was so hungy, he thought about feeding on a student, but he always said no. He figured that he would be killing someone's boyfriend, or girlfriend, or brother or...sister. It didn't matter who you killed, you would always affect more than one life. He would know. He had never feeded on someone unless it was absolutely necessary. For now, he stuck to animals. He still felt kind of guilty, but regular people ate animals, too, so he figured it was whatever. He usually would either go to the forest or somehow straggle away from Hogwarts and onto a dairy farm or something. He hated the taste of a cow's blood, but sometimes, it was all he could find. His canines ached with hunger and sent a sharp pain through his gums, so he had to act quickly.
His hands lightly tapped agaisnt the tree limb, trying to get his mind off the pain. He had always described his surrounding when he had his urges to deal with. "I see a tree, a tree, and...a tree." He rolled his eyes and plopped his head on his hand. For Merlin's sake, he couldn't come up with anything better than that? Really? He shrugged and darted his eyes around in search of an easy target.
He just figured he could think about whatever was going on in his life. He had just about nothing interesting to think about other than his latest suggestion. He really wanted to maybe, possibly meet up with Chi Chi and...talk. No, he didn't really want to, and he definitely wasn't going to like it, either. He just figured it would give them both closure. Jeremy had to admit, he still had feelings for her, but he could never be with her. There was only one three words that came to mind when he heard Chita's name: Jezzibelle, love, never.
Jeremy brightened when he heard a muffled sound of footsteps break the silence. He quietly looked around for a figure, but saw a girl approaching. He slowly sighed and continued to sit from the tree. He had to see who it was due to curiosity and saw Chita. Of course. He silently slid down the side of the tree, which frightened her. She begin to sprint away from him, the opposite way from the castle. He rolled his eyes and chased after her, being the helpful person he was. You didn't think he would just let her go, did you? He chased her, swurving trees, jumping over rocks, and halted when she stumbled over. He ducked under a bush and waited for her to say something. She stuttered and he sighed with relief. It was Chita after all. He slowly stood up and put a stern look on his face. He wanted to let her know he wasn't going to be all buddy-buddy quite yet. He still didn't picture this moment quite so...awkward, though. "Chita?"

What the hell? ChiChi had never been very well acquainted with the feeling that she was feeling now, even as a human. She hated this feeling. It made her feel too vulnerable. Fear did that to people. But why was she so scared? Hell, ChiChi hadn't been seriously scared since nineteen-forty when one of her best human friends was almost mistaken for a Jew. Luckily, they found some kind of proof against it, but it was scary as hell. ChiChi would really rather not relive that experience, thank you. But now? This was worse than that time. Maybe it was because ChiChi's instincts from the very beginning were saying that this was a trap, but ChiChi was very uncomfortable with this feeling.
As the rustling in the bush continued (for what seemed like hours, she might add), ChiChi found herself backing up, slowly against a tree. "I swear to God," she muttered to herself, "if this is an animal, I will personally rip out its heart and eat it in front of its little animal friends.." For some reason, talking to herself calmed her nerves. However, now that she thought about it, animals couldn't conjure up random winds and chase her all throughout the forest and make her feel trapped. No, that was ChiChi normally doing that to the animals. Unless they were all banding together to go up against her.
Stupid animals. They would obviously lose.
ChiChi was still scared shitless, because somehow she knew it wasn't animals. Her chest was heaving up and down at seemingly impossible rates and she stood up against the tree, trying to make herself seem bigger. "Who's there?" she asked in a quite shaky voice. Something was stepping out of the bushes and ChiChi turned away, wanting it to be a familiar face, but scared that it wouldn't be. When she heard her name spoken in a calm voice, ChiChi opened her eyes that she had not even realized she had closed. When she saw who it was, she ran over to them and threw her arms around them. "Oh my God, Jeremy! I'm so happy to see you and not some psychopathic vampire killer!" she said, relieved. But then she replayed their first greeting in over a century, and she stepped away quickly.
Why was it that every person from her past life (meaning Damien and Jeremy, of course) wanted her dead?
She sheepishly rubbed at her arm. "Uh, sorry. I was just-- You scared me. Were you chasing me? Earlier, I mean. Something was chasing me and--yeah." She said, at a loss for words for the hundredth time within the past year. She looked to Jeremy's face, hoping to see some kind of acceptance, recognition, anything. She swallowed hard, afraid to hear him say no.
